LIGHT

Is an invisible form of energy that stimulates the sensation of vision in us through eyes

SOURCES OF LIGHT

Sources of light is the original of light in which the light are comes from whether natural or artificial

NATURAL SOURCES OF LIGHT.

Natural sources of light are those that occur in nature without human intervention. Examples include:sun, star and lighting

NOTE:

The sun is the major source of light for the Earth
There are also insects, animals and Plants that emit light. Eg. Fireflies, Jellyfish, Deep sea plants

The organisms that produce light are known as BIOLUMINESCENCE

2. ARTIFICIAL SOURCES OF LIGHT.

Artificial sources of light are human-made and designed to produce light. Examples include:Wood Fires, torch, candle, kerosene lamp, Electrical Bulbs (Lamps) etc.

The different sources of light that are produced artificially can be grouped into three categories, Namely;

Incandescent source of light-producing light through heating. Eg. Electrical Bulb, Candle, Gas Lamp etc. All objects that emit light as a result of being heated are called Incandescent Objects.
Luminescent source of light-producing light through accelerating charges. Eg. Fluorescent Lamp
Gas discharge source of light-producing light through flowing gases at low pressure. Eg. Neon Lamp and Sodium Lamp
